Marketing Tango events and Growth Voucher spokesperson

Can’t believe it’s been 2 and a half months since I last wrote here. I know it’s probably been too long when friends start contacting me to ask if everything is OK because they haven’t seen anything published recently!

This post is a quick update on a few exciting news from The Marketing Cube.

Spokesperson for UK Growth Voucher programme

First of all, I’ve been made one of the spokespeople representing the Growth Voucher programme in London with SMEs.

In a nutshell, growth vouchers are an opportunity for UK businesses to access strategic advice with support from the government. Areas of support include Marketing and Customer Service, for which The Marketing Cube is an accredited supplier. The voucher is up to £2,000 and needs to be matched with equal funds from the business seeking advice. The allocation of vouchers is totally random. All businesses with turnover of less than £45m, owning at least 75% of their business and with less than 250 staff can apply for a voucher.

Recent updates to the programme include an assurance that all claims will be dealt with promptly within 10 days; the ability for advisers to claim the money back from the government on behalf of the business; and the removal of the need for the business to have been trading for over 2 years. This means start-ups are now welcome too!

Marketing Tango events

I’ll be speaking about Growth Vouchers and giving a digital marketing taster event at various places in London in the coming weeks:

With the exception of the City Business Library event which will focus exclusively on creating a dashboard for measuring your digital marketing efforts, the Marketing Tango events are presentations/workshops with 8 steps covering the Growth Voucher programme, business planning and digital marketing strategy.

Me and the lovely Philippa Seal have already delivered a number of these events and had excellent feedback from attendees. Most of attendees are start-ups and small businesses looking for marketing updates and help with their marketing plans.
